our story

A soap studio run by a -year-old

it started with art

A founder from the very beginning

Rashmika has been selling things for as long as she could count change — her own paintings and drawings first, and then a lemonade stand idea. She is 7½ years old, in third grade, and always has at least three ideas running at once.

how is stuff made?

From factory videos to a science kit

She loves watching how things get made — videos of factories mixing, pouring, and packing. Then one day, a soap experiment turned up in her science kit at home, and everything clicked: she could make this. She ran to her mom, and together they made her first wobbly batch. Then a better one. Then one with real flower petals in it. That one smelled like a garden — and Florush was born.

flo + rush

Why “Florush”?

“Flo” for the florals she loves to paint and put in her soaps, and “rush” from her own name — Rashmika. Her art is on every label, because at Florush the soap and the art come from the same small pair of hands.

learning by doing

A very real small business

Florush is also a classroom. Every order teaches something you can't learn from a textbook: counting stock, adding up totals, planning the next batch, hearing “no thanks” sometimes, and hearing “this is my favourite soap!” other times. Her mom guides the soap-making, her dad helps with the website — the ideas are all hers.

The best way to hear the rest of the story is to try the soap.
